Depending on how frequently you visit my world,
you may or may not have noticed that I often backtrack…
A week can go by with no posts – and then it is all filled in.
When doing the posts, I work from notes and my calendar.
Sometimes a day comes up that is completely deficient of information.
Today is one of those days…
Grateful today.
Woke up early with the intent of reviewing my notes for an hour before getting ready…
Read through them once – 10 minutes and went back to sleep for an hour…
Final test and quiz all done today…Whew!
A light workout in the afternoon is just the needed thing
before a Tuesday with Uncle Stu.
Grateful today for
completing another course and more understanding about nutrition,
my mate and his suggestion to work out,
and for the tuesdays with Uncle Stu.
All week long my mate has been having a trying installation experience.
Last night he was on site and returned home at 5am.
A full day of work, late afternoon snack and then back to the site.
I am amazed at his calmness in the uncertain installation storm.
Grateful today for
my mate – a calm and wise captain,
and for being away from the storm – in a relaxed and fun afternoon with e.
My mate surprises me with a spontaneous trip to Montreal.
This morning, we pack a few things and are on a road trip.
Arriving in Montreal, we check in and meet the country mice for a drink on the rooftop…
From there, to dancing girls, and great food and drink with the best of friends.
What a fun way to celebrate a birthday!
Grateful today for
celebrating my birthday with great pals,
and for my Prince Charming mate – who made it all happen.
Off the ship early,
a 3km walk to the Old Town through neighbourhoods of walled walkways.
In the Old Town we meet up with friends, and then we are off to the beach.
A walk along the coast brings us to the Valamar Dubrovnik President hotel, and a beach!
A quick jump in the sea to cool down and then up the gondola to get a taxi to the ship.
Back to Dubrovnik for dinner,
fun to be in Croatia when they are playing Italia in the Euro Cup…
Thankfully they tied…and we made it back to the ship just in time!
Grateful today for
all our wonderful walks through neighbourhoods and along the coast,
lost and found wallet and sea pass,
and for a beautiful day in Dubrovnik.
