Long Weekend Friday

Thrilled again today when my mate returns home early.
A great kick off to a long weekend.

Timing works out perfectly to meet Uncle Stu for an afternoon sail.
The winds are beautifully cooling – heat from the land visibly rolls onto the water…
After a lovely sail, we walk over to the EX. 3 stuffed animals later, we stop for a drink on our way home and meet up with the Cosmics.

Grateful today for
a beautiful refreshing sail,
fun time at the EX,
and for summer time get togethers with friends.

Vero’s First Road Trip

Off before lunch to the Thousand Islands for a visit at La Vignette.
Traffic while lousy does not distract us from fun on our first road trip with Vero.

A lovely dinner and catch up,
followed by swimming in the full moon…
a perfect summer’s night.

Grateful today for
the cool refreshing waters,
time with good friends,
and for the invitation to La Vignette.

621 – Harvest Moon

Matie is off in the early morning to go golfing.
BEE is back from her travels.

After a trip to the liberty farmers’ market and dim sum at a new place, we spent the evening out on the boat to watch the sunset and the harvest moon rise.
Took two cameras out and had a fun time shooting with my mate.

Grateful today for
the awesomeness of nature,
a full day of activity,
and for BEE’s safe return home.

592 – The Londoners

A beautiful sunny morning at the dock, cleaning and getting the sails ready…
Lunch with my mate at the market and then home.

A visit from Semil, the early arrival home of my mate and a spontaneous visit from Jim.
The afternoon is quite lively. As we visit and enjoy the summer day from the kitchen window, the first Londoner arrives to hang out with us. So great to catch up, hear of adventures and get a list of new music to add to the library!

Dinner is at the club, a barbeque with 2 more Londoners where Mark Wilson meets Mark Wilson?!
The night is clear and beautiful…perfect for a full moon sail.

Returning home, thinking we will enjoy the night view before bed…we have a nightcap with Semil and friend….

Grateful today for
both spontaneous and planned visits,
summer days and nights to share conversation, food and drink with friends,
and for the magical full moon over the lake.

534 – Midnight Cycle

Feeling a bit wimpy before my workout – fortunately Maylee has a wimpy workout for me…

After the workout, the Cuba photo committee meets at Huron.
A good discussion that moves the book further…and we even have a surprise visit from one of the group of 8.

The afternoon moves into the evening quickly…
A great meal by BEE and the final game for the Stanley Cup.

At the end of the game, we go for a midnight cycle under the full moon.
Ending our day by the kitchen window, a neighbour passes by and stops in for a short nightcap…

Whew! What a day.

Grateful today for
the group of 8,
the lively energy at Huron,
and for a full moon bike ride with my mate.
