an easy travel day,
New Orleans – so, so good to be back for Jazzfest!
and for the concert in the park we stumbled upon before dinner…
My mate surprises me with a spontaneous trip to Montreal.
This morning, we pack a few things and are on a road trip.
Arriving in Montreal, we check in and meet the country mice for a drink on the rooftop…
From there, to dancing girls, and great food and drink with the best of friends.
What a fun way to celebrate a birthday!
Grateful today for
celebrating my birthday with great pals,
and for my Prince Charming mate – who made it all happen.
After my return to class a week ago, I thought a week was plenty of time to get everything I needed done.
Not quite. The week filled up quickly – bringing me to today – a study day before my class. Time to turn all the lights in my brain on!
Evening class is a good one – less terrifying that the return.
Adjusting better to the new instructor and her style of teaching.
Grateful today for
a productive study day,
a good class,
and for past learned information starting to come together.
A busy day with the lighting guys, the plumber and the blinds guy…designer and contractor too.
Amazing to see how they come in, set up their tools and get things done.
At the end of the day, my mate returns to our LED lit cove going through its many many colours…
depending on the colour, it can feel as though we’re on the starship Enterprise.
Grateful today for
an operating steam room and working bath wand,
more installed blinds,
and for the warmth of the newly installed LEDs.
