Quiet Sunday

Nice to be using our courtyard – today we were out relaxing under a tree and reading our Kindles. My mate brings out a lovely little luncheon snack. A perfect picnic scene.

Later, we walk to Chinatown for a massage and walk back.

Grateful today for
a weekend of rest and relaxation for my mate,
perfect weekend weather,
and for one more weekend day!

Hot, hot, hot!

At 9am, the thermometer is reading 30C.
What an incredibly hot, hot day!

To the beach after breakfast,
back for beer.
Jumping in the water cools us down after sweating in the shade…

Grateful today for
the warmth and caring of cottage communities,
summer hang outs with friends,
and cooling waters on an unbelievably hot day.

408 – Reflections

In nostalgic moments,
reflections are of long past experiences.
Daily reflections are closer in time,
a day, a week, a month…

The ‘same’ experience reflected on at different times,
can open understanding,
and / or make it quite confuzzling.

The reflection on a mirror on the street
would stand out as an impossible scene,
if I did not know it was a mirror.

Interesting to consider reflections…
part of today’s reality in a slightly blurry,
inverted manner…
nowhere near now.

Grateful today for
the instructor’s photo critique that lifted the blahs I felt in my last assignment submission,
a good workout and lunch with my mate,
and the quiet time I have to contemplate and work on understanding my mind.
