Final Test

A few hours before class studying in the Starbucks by the school,
happy to see another classmate there also.

In class, we cover a bit of new material and do a review before our final test.
Test done, glad for the completion of another class.

Grateful today for
the order of our courses, each one adds information that enhances the understanding of the next course,
for the material studied – connecting mental illness to 13 different biochemical imbalances + nutrition,
and for our previous biochemistry course.

Friday

All week long my mate has been having a trying installation experience.
Last night he was on site and returned home at 5am.
A full day of work, late afternoon snack and then back to the site.

I am amazed at his calmness in the uncertain installation storm.

Grateful today for
my mate – a calm and wise captain,
and for being away from the storm – in a relaxed and fun afternoon with e.

Back to the books

On a birthday / party high since last week’s school reunion…
Thought today would be a return to ‘normal’…
Seems the birthday celebrations carry on…

Grateful today for
an afternoon reading my text books,
and for a birthday dinner with Uncle Stu.

View from the window

We wake up to a sunny, mild Saturday. After breakfast and a visit from Stu – picking up his car after the previous nights’ festivities – we visit Wellington. All is progressing well. Hoping we will be moving in soon…

Helping a family member this afternoon is challenging and emotional draining.
We do what we can and hope for the best.

In the afternoon, a text from the country mice leads to a spontaneous and lovely visit. A glass of wine together in our hotel and a leisurely dinner at our favourite, La Fenice.

Grateful today for
the sunshine and warmth of the day,
the reminder of St Lucia in seeing birds in a bush,
and for wonderful times with the country mice.
